MedGemma 1.5 4B IT is Google's open-weight, instruction-tuned multimodal medical model based on the Gemma 3 4B architecture with a medically pretrained MedSigLIP vision encoder. It updates MedGemma 1 4B with support for volumetric CT and MRI, whole-slide pathology, longitudinal chest X-rays, anatomical localization, medical-document and EHR understanding, and improved medical text reasoning.
