Solar Pro Preview Instruct is Upstage's 22.1B pre-release instruction-tuned model, created by applying an enhanced depth up-scaling method to scale up a Phi-3-medium base, and designed to fit on a single 80 GB GPU. Released as a preview in September 2024 with a 4K-token context window and English-only support, it used the ChatML format and was a precursor to the full Solar Pro line.
