North Mini Code
Cohere · 2026-06-09 · 30.5B parameters
North Mini Code is Cohere's first agentic coding model, released on June 9, 2026 as an Apache-2.0 open-weight sparse MoE optimized for code generation, repo-level agentic software engineering, and terminal tasks. Its checkpoint contains exactly 30,484,303,872 parameters; Cohere describes it as 30B total and approximately 3B active, with 128 experts of which eight are selected per token plus one initial dense layer. Cohere documents a 256K context, up to 64K output tokens, tool use, and optional interleaved thinking that is enabled by default, but does not publish those rounded limits as exact integers.
