Inkling is Thinking Machines Lab's first open-weight foundation model, a 66-layer multimodal Mixture-of-Experts transformer described as 975 billion total parameters and 41 billion active parameters. It accepts text, image, and audio inputs, supports controllable reasoning effort and a 1,048,576-token context window, and was pretrained from scratch on 45 trillion multimodal tokens.
