ERNIE 5.0 Thinking Preview is the preview release of Baidu's closed, natively omni-modal ERNIE 5.0 foundation model, unveiled at Baidu World on November 13, 2025 and made available through ERNIE Bot and Baidu's Qianfan platform. The hosted preview endpoint enables deep thinking by default, and callers can disable it per request with enable_thinking=false. Baidu later replaced it with the formal ERNIE 5.0 release on January 22, 2026, which is a separate entry.
