Composer 1 is Cursor's proprietary mixture-of-experts agent model for software engineering, released on October 29, 2025. Cursor specialized it with reinforcement learning in development environments, trained it natively with MXFP8 MoE kernels, and designed it for long-context generation and tool use in the Cursor Agent harness.
