Composer 1.5 was Cursor's proprietary mixture-of-experts agentic coding model, released on February 9, 2026 after scaling reinforcement learning 20× further on the same pretrained model as Composer 1. It adaptively generates thinking tokens based on task difficulty and uses RL-trained recursive self-summarization to continue long tasks when its documented 200k-token context fills.
